Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 16, 2026 · Applies to the Truck Kicker iOS app (com.truckkicker.truckkicker)

Truck Kicker (“we”, “us”) is an arcade game. We built it to need as little of your personal information as possible: there is no registration, and we never ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location. This policy explains the small amount of data the game does handle, why, and what your choices are.

1. Data we collect and why

1.1 Device identifier

On first launch the game generates a random identifier for your device. It is not your Apple ID, advertising identifier (IDFA), phone number, or serial number, and it cannot be used to identify you outside of Truck Kicker. It is stored in the device Keychain, so it survives reinstalls of the app. We use it to:

1.2 Nickname and scores (leaderboards)

When a run ends, the game submits your nickname, ride distance and score (together with the device identifier and app version) to our leaderboard servers, hosted on Supabase. Nicknames are player-chosen (or your Game Center name — see below) and are visible to other players on the public leaderboard. Please don’t put personal information in your nickname.

1.3 Game Center

If you sign in to Apple Game Center, we receive your Game Center display name and a game-scoped player ID from Apple. We use these to verify that a leaderboard entry belongs to you, to display your Game Center name on the leaderboard, and to recover your progress on a new device. Game Center sign-in is optional. Apple’s handling of Game Center data is described in Apple’s privacy policy.

1.4 IP address (hashed)

When the app talks to our servers, we compute a one-way keyed hash of the connecting IP address and store only that hash — never the IP address itself — as a rate-limiting and anti-abuse signal. The hash cannot be reversed into your IP address without a secret key held only on the server.

1.5 Device integrity (Apple App Attest)

To keep leaderboards fair, the app uses Apple’s App Attest (DeviceCheck) service to prove that score submissions come from a genuine copy of the app on a genuine Apple device. This involves Apple issuing a cryptographic attestation for your device; it does not give us any additional personal information about you.

1.6 Gameplay analytics

The app reports anonymous gameplay events (e.g. run started, distance reached, items used, coins earned/spent), keyed by the device identifier, to our own servers. We use these strictly to balance game difficulty and the in-game economy. They contain no personal data and are never shared with advertisers or data brokers.

1.7 Purchases (RevenueCat)

If in-app purchases are available in your version, payment is processed entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details. To deliver and restore what you bought, purchase receipts are validated by RevenueCat, which processes an app user identifier and transaction history on our behalf.

1.8 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The game shows ads (optional rewarded videos, and occasional interstitials between runs) served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, and coarse device data to serve and measure ads, as described in Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses data in ads.

1.9 Data that stays on your device

Settings, unlocks, coin balance, ride logs and crash replays are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded. Deleting the app deletes them.

3. What we don’t do

4. Data retention and deletion

Leaderboard entries and gameplay events are kept while your entry is active on the leaderboards. You can ask us to delete your leaderboard entry and associated server data at any time: email hi@truckkicker.com with your nickname (and, if you use it, your Game Center name). See the Support page for details. Local data is deleted when you delete the app; note the device identifier in the Keychain may persist across reinstalls until you ask us to unlink it or you erase the device.

5. Children

Truck Kicker is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Where consent requirements apply, ads are configured through Google’s consent tools accordingly. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. International transfers

Our servers and service providers (Supabase, Google, RevenueCat, Apple) may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. We rely on the safeguards these providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses, for such transfers.

7. Your rights

Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data. Because we hold so little, the practical answer is usually simple: email us and we will delete your server-side data. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
